Tell the Ford government that Ontario is saying NO to Bill 5.
I have heard from thousands of constituents on their concerns about the Ford government's latest legislation, Bill 5.
Bill 5 is being sold as a way to cut red tape and speed up development. But Bill 5 isn’t just trimming fat. It’s hacking away at the very things that keep us healthy, fed, and grounded in this province. This Bill redefines “habitat” in a way that weakens protections for endangered species. It opens the door for developers to skip the environmental assessments altogether. It hands too much unchecked power to Ministers behind closed doors.
I’m calling on the government to do the right thing: scrap Bill 5 and come back with legislation that respects science, respects our environment, and respects the people of Ontario. We can build a strong economy and protect the land we love.
